i enjoyed each one. fellini's i had to read a bit about to truly understand what he was trying to convey. i thought i had missed something plot wise, but no, it really was just a series of evenings and dawns.

friends of god was interesting. it reminded me of my childhood and growing up around christian fundamentalist, and then it reminded me of where our nation is headed. fundamentalism is something that is hard to crasp and literally scares me. i can't wait to watch jesus camp.

i just saw a preview for a documentary on the prisoners of war in iraq and how the us army tortured them. it looks really interesting. lately, i've been watching a lot of these types of films and reading newsweek. it's almost an election year, i have to dive back into the politics pool.

earlier, i was going through my contacts' photos on flickr. i found some taken by my buddy, ryan, from art exhibitions he has attended recently. i fell in love with this artist:

he is on exhibition at the brooklyn museum of art until february.

i wish i lived closer to new york, and that my travel plans were much much sooner.

today, as i was reading one of my favorite blogs (design sponge), i was introduced to a beautiful photo blog.

3191 : a year of mornings

my friend is doing something similar to this project. she is taking pictures of herself everyone morning when she awakens. i like this idea of taking a photo every day. at the SPE conference in 2005, i went to a lecture by this photographer named byron wolfe. he photographed everyday, and chose one to post online. they were of his family, the weather, food, anything. i would love to do this as a collaboration with someone else.

lately, i've been getting all these great ideas. that is what this blog is all about, recording my ideas and eventually seeing them come to life.

employment.

i just found a posting for a job at a local film festival as a office manager. i spent the last two hours working on my resume and cover letter. i'm keeping my fingers crossed. i hate my current job, and i need a reason to stay in this city in the great big state of texas.
