movie update!

i haven't done one of these in a few weeks. i'm becoming very slack with the original reason this blog was started. does that mean i'm growing and finding more interesting things to write about??

the only ones that were truly disappointing were harry potter and margot at the wedding. i think i just expected more. there were a few surprises: after the wedding, romance & cigarettes, and redacted. i didn't know what to expect from these movies and they left me surprised and wanting more. i love when that happens with films.

I've also been watching a ton of arrested development. i just can't stop. it's partially due to my crush on michael cera, but it's seriously the best thing that ever happened to tv. why did it get cancelled again?

sxsw starts on friday. i'm not sure i'm ready this year, but it's here anyway. i plan to watch a ton of movies, sleep when i can, and just drink, walk around and hang out. nutters mcgee gets here tomorrow, which means margaritas, el chilito and lots of laughing. i can't wait! i'm ready to have some friends in town. i feeling a lack of friends and social happenings lately. i'm always wanting to go out or be surrounded by people, but no one seems to be available or ever wants to leave their house. how do you make new friends in this town?? this has been a problem since i moved here.

plus, i've been wondering...does anyone actually read this thing??
