inside deep throat
very interesting. a look at the porn industry before it was the "porn industry," and the government when obscenity was a huge problem and how reagan finished the job in the eighties. it's worth a watch.

away from her
loved it. it made me cry, it made me happy, it made me never want to lose a loved one to alzheimer's or dementia. sarah polley did a beautiful job executing her first film. she is a natural talent and has worked with the best. i look forward to seeing her next project.

amores perros
amazing. i'm not sure exactly what else to say. heavy, moving, heartbreaking. i don't know why it took me so long to watch it. it should have happened years ago.

the ice storm
ang lee's portrayal of rick moody's novel is perfect to a tee in my book. it's such a depressing story, yet somehow everyone can connect to the families, because their family is exactly the same. i throughly enjoyed the book, and i was still impressed after re-watching the film. sometimes they get it wrong, but not this time. i love both.
